In this assignment, I learned to use filters, guides, resizing the canvas, threshold dialog, and moving a layer. I was to take an image and turn it into something that used all of these things. Original Photos
In this assignment I was able to properly use photoshop to make these pictures. After this first picture I made I new how to then edit and make the other pop art. In the second picture I decided to do only two colors to emphasize the shirt and what the shirt stands for. I also tried to choose two different colors to get more familiar with the different colors.

Shutter SpeedIn image one, you can see that the water is a little fuzzy because of the motion. That's because it has a slow shutter speed. The last picture is very different than the first one because the shutter speed is fast so it freezes the water and make it look still. ApertureIn my first picture, I had an f-stop of 22. This made the picture have a bigger depth of field so you're able to see what's in the background. In my final picture I had an f-stop of 5. This allows me to have a shallow depth of field so it concentrates on one specific object. What I Learned From This Assignment1. A fast shutter speed stops movement and allows less light to pass through.
2. A slow shutter speed blurs the movement and allows more light to pass through. 3. A large aperture has a short depth of field and allows more light to pass through. 4. A small aperture has a large depth of field and allows less light to pass through. For my first shooting assignment, I will be taking MOTION pictures. I plan on taking pictures of my girlfriend running in her race for cross country. I hope to capture the quickness of her running with the motion blur in the background of her. Here are a couple of pictures that I'd like to imitate. These pictures represent motion because it shows that something is moving. In these pictures, the background is the thing that has a motion blur because the photographer is moving/focussing on the runner.
PatternColorSymmetryFramingPerspectiveSpaceDepth of FieldLinesTextureRule of 3rdsBalanceIn the assignment of composition photography, I learned the basic ways of taking photos. In this assignment, I was assigned to take different photos to cover the aspects of composition photography. Composition photography includes balance, the rule of 3rds, texture, lines, depth of field, space, perspective, framing, color, symmetry and pattern. All of these things help make pictures look appealing and good. My favorite part of the composition essay would be the freedom of taking the pictures we want to and interpreting the pictures in our own ways. I had the most fun taking the pictures of my dog because I got him to do what I wanted him to do and had great lighting and timing to take the pictures.
